Hello everyone 😀 I know that most of you would have either heard of, if not tasted, the burgers at Shake Shack. May that be one of their veggie shroom burgers in London, or their juicy beef burgers abroad. Regardless, I decided it deserved a spot on My Big Fat Halal Blog! If you’re someone who hasn’t heard of it, then listen up… because you’re about to read about something really delicious.

Shake Shack is unfortunately only halal in the Middle East. It is truly depressing walking past their branches in Covent Garden and Westfield, knowing that I can’t eat there, *cries*. I made sure that I fulfilled my Shake Shack cravings this Summer, in Dubai. In fact, I fulfilled my cravings straight away at Dubai airport as soon as I landed!

Single ShackBurger (Dhs 26)

First of all, these burgers look so pretty! The lettuce is so green, the tomatoes are so red, the beef patty looks so juicy and it’s just screaming EAT ME! Shake Shack uses 100% all-natural Angus beef that is freshly ground. Angus beef is more flavoursome and juicy, which is great. The burgers are cooked medium (unless otherwise requested), which is lovely as the meat is much more succulent and has loads of dripping burger juices, mmmm. It is not messy to eat and the soft potato bun does not fall apart either.

Cheesy Fries (Dhs 20)

If you’re going to get fries, it has to be cheesy fries! Personally, I don’t think the plain fries are anything special, but when it’s topped with gooey American cheese sauce – they’re gooood. Apologies for the science lesson, but the crinkle cut creates a larger surface area, which means the fries can carry more cheese compared to a straight one. Extra cheese yaaaaas! Warning: they’re highly addictive.

Vanilla Milkshake (Dhs 25)

This is better than average milkshakes, but not amazing. In my opinion, it should be a little thicker and have a more distinct flavour. It definitely doesn’t compare to the vanilla milkshake at Five Guys.

Overall, Shake Shack is one of the best burger restaurants I’ve been to. I do think it is overpriced considering it’s a fast food outlet. However, the ingredients are fresh and it really is delicious.
