Not sure where to go this weekend? I’ve got just the answer… Boxpark Wembley!
At the end of 2018, Boxpark (a permanent pop-up mall) opened its newest site in Wembley! It’s absolutely huge and it’s filled with a number of great restaurants and cafes. I headed down there last week and I was pretty chuffed to find a wide variety of halal food. I decided to write a list of all the halal options so you can make the most of your visit and eat as much as possible! Check it out below 😉
1. BOMBAY BURRITO
Bombay Burrito offers fast, fresh Indian street food in the form of burritos, bowls and salads.
Be aware that only the chicken is halal. It is prepared and cooked separately from any non-halal meat (beef). They also serve a number of vegetarian options.
Find out more about them here.
2. DRUMS & FLATS
Drums & Flats are all about chicken wings! They have a wide variety ranging from bangin’ buffalo wings to sticky BBQ to garlic & parmesan. They also offer fried chicken burgers and sandwiches. Don’t forget to wash it all down with one of their milkshakes! 😉

3. KABAB
KABAB offers halal Mediterranean food in the form of salads and rice boxes. The lamb and chicken kebabs taste fresh and are of great quality. They also serve delicious sides such as halloumi fries!

4. KOOLCHA
Koolcha has the largest space in Boxpark Wembley and it even has its own seating area. It opened up by my good friend chef Rohit Ghai and his business partner, Abhishake Sangwan (of Gymkhana, Hoppers, Bombay Bustle and Jamavar). Be sure to visit for delicious Indian treats such as their stuffed kulcha flatbreads! Rohit Ghai is a Michelin star chef so you can expect great food from him.

5. MAMA JACQ’S
Head to Mama Jacq’s if you’re in the mood for Caribbean food! I’ve heard the dishes are full of flavour and very enjoyable.

6. MITSURYU
Mitsuryu serve up great Japanese food. Last year I visited their restaurant in Chinatown, which has sadly closed down now (you can still read all about it here for more info on their food). I like a lot of their items but one thing I’d recommend is their delicious chicken katsu curry.

7. SMOKY BOYS
If you’re in the mood for a burger, Smoky Boys is the place to go! They have a variety of sides and shakes on the menu too.
Find out more about them here.
8. SPICE SHACK
Spice Shack started off as a small trailer back in 2010. They now have two restaurants and a new spot at Boxpark Wembley. It’s a family run business bringing home-cooked vibes to your favourite Indian street food dishes.

So there you have it… my halal guide to Boxpark Wembley! I hope you found it useful and let me know if you visit.

A number of traders have closed down because of the excessive overheads such as £52,500 in rent and service charges.
I can only imagine the cost of eating at just one of the food outlets must have been pretty expensive.
