Something that I never thought would happen, happened. Something sad, something gross, something big. I got fat LOL. Guys I never really worried about my weight because fortunately I didn’t put it on that easily. For years I have been saying that I would only worry about my weight if my clothes stopped fitting me. Well, that day came … about a week ago *dies*.
Shocked, I decided that I was going to completely change my lifestyle. Gym three times a week, salad for dinner every day … I had it all planned. I can proudly report back and let you know that my 5-minute home work out and half a day attempt at eating healthily went extremely well.
With all my hard work, I most certainly deserved a trip allll the way to Harrow to try out a fairly new burger place that’s been near the top of my restaurant list– Two Buns!
We got seated immediately, scanned the menu and got ordering!
VANILLA MILKSHAKE (£3.85)
First up was my vanilla milkshake. As a very fussy milkshake drinker, I can approve this one! It was sweet, creamy and had a good consistency.
MOZZARELLA STICKS (£3.50)
Stringy gooey mozzarella that had been covered in batter and deep fried until golden and crispy mmm.
THE BETTER FRIES (£2.25)
Pretty standard fries that could have been seasoned better.
THE IMLI FRIES (£3.00)
I wasn’t too keen on the sound of these, but after trying them from my mum I actually enjoyed them. They were unique and interesting! A fresh sweet and sour alternative topped with imli sauce, fresh green spring onions and tomatoes.
On to the burgers yaaas…
THE BETTER BURGER (£5.95)
I opted for the simplest burger on the menu, which consists of a soft, squidgy bun with super goeeeey cheese inbetween 2 incredibly juicy 3oz beef patties. It was topped with onions, lettuce, tomato, and generous amounts of their house sauce. I don’t think it’s the besttt burger I’ve ever had, but it’s definitely up there and I enjoyed it.
THE HOT ONE (£7.95)
This burger was similar to the above with the addition of bell peppers and jalapenos topped with a chilli relish to give it a bit of a kick. We preferred this burger as it packed in more flavour! The only criticism was that it was pretty messy to eat… and that I had to say goodbye diet!
The bill amounted to around £35 for three including burgers, sides and drinks! I’d say Two Buns definitely offer great food, which would hit my top burger restaurant list in London, however I would only return if I were ever in the area.
